Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and ZenConvert ("Service", "we", "us"). By accessing, browsing, or using ZenConvert in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not permitted to use this Service and must exit immediately.

ZenConvert provides browser-based file conversion tools - image format conversion (HEIC, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, etc.) and video compression. All file processing occurs entirely client-side using WebAssembly technology. Your files never leave your device or touch our servers.

We offer a free tier with usage limits and paid subscription plans with expanded limits. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice or liability.

• -You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
• -You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• -You must provide a valid email address and accurate information.
• -You may not use another person's account without explicit permission.
• -You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• -We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• -Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• -Process files containing malware, illegal content, or material that infringes third-party rights.
• -Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or bypass usage limits, paywalls, or security measures.
• -Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data or content from the Service.
• -Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• -Create multiple accounts to bypass per-account limits.
• -Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our explicit written consent.
• -Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your account and access to the Service, without refund.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; (b) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements; (c) file conversions will be lossless or perfectly accurate. Always keep backups of your original files.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ZENCONVERT AND ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES - INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR CORRUPTION OF FILES - ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $10.

You use this Service entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage to your device, data loss, or any other harm resulting from your use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZenConvert and its operators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you process through the Service.

ZenConvert, its logo, design, interface, and underlying software are the exclusive property of ZenConvert and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service solely for its intended purpose.

Your files remain entirely yours. Since files never leave your browser, we make no claim over any content you process using the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 7, 8, and 11) shall survive.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify signed-in users. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
